Project Description
5 luxury residential apartments and a retail shop
Completed 2016
Intersecting solid forms respond to the town centre setting opposite a heritage listed sandstone church, with punched windows providing privacy to apartments situated directly on the street front. The box forms are juxtaposed with a subtle curve on the long wall which responds to the movement of the beach setting and signifies the residential entry.
Over twice the allowable floor space, minimal side and rear setbacks and a private roof terrace were achieved for the client through skilful negotiation through the Land and Environment Court and clever application of SEPP 65 design principles.
Efficient planning provides spacious and light filled apartments on a tight urban site.
